consists of normalized tables and professional, user-friendly features.
To successfully complete this project, you should be able to work

CS 416 Examination covers the theoretical
part of Database Management. It consists of app. 20 questions (T/F,
multiple choice, fill-in-blanks, and essay) regarding the importance
of DBMS approach, normalization, or the different types of databases.
Besides, however, it consists also several questions on data relationships
and field properties.

Project consists
of MS Access database with desired data, objects, and features,
a document describing the data solving problem with initial form,
class diagram and structure of normalized tables, as well as User's
manual and Programmer's maintenance manual. The topic areas may
include:
Car Rental, Music Collection, Aquarium Shop, Specialty Coffee Shop,
Pharmacy, Snowboard Shop, Ski Rental, Travel Agency, Computer
Store, Boats and Ship Rent, Language School, Hotel, Cell Phone
Store, Bakery, Doctor, etc.

Final Project Presentation should be
set up to introduce the background scenario of the final project
as well as the main features of the database. The presentation will
be about 10-15 minutes in length; will be supported by a PowerPoint
slide show (app. 10 slides with objectives, class diagrams, table
structures and relationships, as well as screen shots of the database
forms) and brief demonstration of the MS Access database.
